The Rest is Memory - My Debut Solo Exhibition

The launch of my first solo show is a critical marker in my career shift from journalist to professional artist. Graduating from the National Art School was the first step. This sealed the move!

The Rest is Memory, opened at Tiliqua Tiliqua Gallery in Sydney on June 11, 2026 and I was overwhelmed by the support . That so many of you like my work enough to buy it bolsters me in this journey more than you can know.

My exhibition brings together a body of work exploring memory and landscape and the idea that our earliest experiences of place continue to shape us throughout our lives.The title borrows from the poet Louise Glück’s poem “Nostos” or Homecoming and her line: “We see the world once, in childhood. The rest is memory.”
